Major League Pickleball (MLP by Margaritaville) and the Carvana PPA Tour are coming to Atlanta for 11 straight days of world-class professional pickleball, featuring the top players in the sport.
MLP Atlanta will be the league’s first event of the 2024 season. It will feature a collection of 17 teams in action and a total of 34 matches over four days, from Thursday, May 9 through Sunday, May 12 at Life Time Peachtree Corners.
In addition to the four-day pro event, MLP will be hosting their first-ever coed amateur team event for groups of four (two men and two women) on Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12. For more information and to register, visit PBRally.com.
MLP has nearly 100 of the top pickleball athletes who play in a coed team format. Some of the leagues most notable owners include the Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young (Atlanta Bouncers) and Atlanta Dream’s Haley Jones (LA Mad Drops).
Following the four-day pro event, MLP will also host the Vizzy Atlanta Slam from Monday, May 13 through Sunday, May 19. The Vizzy Atlanta Slam is one of the four largest and most important events on the PPA Tour calendar, offering the season’s largest amount of points contributing to players’ rankings.
Featuring many of the world’s leading players, the Vizzy Atlanta Slam will showcase professional pickleball at its highest level as players fight for gold medals on the big stage.
From World No. 1s Ben Johns and Anna Leigh Waters to tennis greats Jack Sock and Genie Bouchard, many charismatic stars in the sport will pack the courts.
