Atlanta’s pickleball scene is about to change dramatically with the addition of 30 Dill Dinkers Pickleball Club franchise locations across the metro area. This development marks the company’s largest regional expansion, with new locations planned in Cherokee, Cobb, Fulton, Clayton, Henry and DeKalb counties.
It’s no secret that Atlanta is swiftly becoming a hot spot for pickleball enthusiasts, and this plan underscores the market demand for the sport.
Since its launch in November 2022, Dill Dinkers has become a well-known name in pickleball. Several indoor facilities are already operational in Maryland, and more are set to open across the country.
“We started Dill Dinkers because of our unwavering passion for the sport and the community it has provided us,” said Co-Founder and CEO Will Richards in a press release.
The next location is set to open in Manassas, Virginia, in April 2024. Since the announcement of its nationwide franchise launch in September 2023, Dill Dinkers has 12 signed developers in Texas, Washington D.C., North Carolina, Connecticut, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, Western Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
“When we came across Dill Dinkers, it became clear to us that the facility was designed for pickleball players by pickleball players,” said Daniel Hardeman in a statement.
Hardeman is one of five entrepreneurs signed by Dill Dinkers to carry out the vision in metro Atlanta.
Driven by a shared passion for the sport, Daniel and Laura Hardeman, alongside Destin Dunham, Evelyn Orenbuch and Stuart Napshin will usher in the 30 new locations.
Daniel and Laura Hardeman bring their backgrounds in software engineering and marketing to Dill Dinkers. Stuart Napshin offers business strategy expertise, and Evelyn Orenbuch, a former Team USA athlete, adds her competitive insight. Destin Dunham focuses on client relations and customer service.
“We learned about Dill Dinkers through our friends who had been raving about the brand,” the Hardemans told What Now Atlanta. “As we became pickleball players, we realized how much of a demand there is for indoor pickleball facilities in Atlanta.”
Atlanta is an ideal location for Dill Dinkers due to its thriving pickleball community and the chance to offer players excellent facilities. So, for all of you pickleball enthusiasts out there, keep your eyes peeled for the first facility potentially coming this summer.
